RIDES: Making every trip, on every vehicle, every day, “PERFECT” …every time! RIDES is the officially designated public transit provider for 9 counties in NW IA. Services are open to the public, including persons with disabilities.
RIDES is a private non-profit agency established 1976 and is governed by a Board of Directors. The Board of Directors consists of a County Supervisor from each of the counties that RIDES serves, as well as a member from Northwest Iowa Planning and Development Corporation. Hours of operation for each community vary. RIDES provides demand response and subscription services within Region 3 of the State of Iowa. Currently RIDES has 78 employees: 13 are full-time and 65 are part-time employees.
