The Worthington Economic Development Authority (EDA) was created to improve the economic viability of Worthington by utilizing a variety of economic development tools. The EDA is responsible for the administration of many fantastic programs aimed at helping existing businesses and creating new businesses to serve the City of Worthington. The Community/Economic Development Department is responsible for planning and managing Worthington's physical growth and expansion, generates the city's comprehensive plan and administers building inspections, planning and zoning and rental housing.
