Public Works consists of three departments providing services to the public. The Highway Department provides for maintenance and improvements to the county road system along with maintaining the county ditch systems. The department also assist the townships with rural address signing and bridge replacement projects. Our goal is to achieve and maintain a level of Zero Deaths on our county roadways.
The Park Department provides a variety of recreational experiences for public enjoyment. Each of the eight parks, located throughout the county, provides a unique atmosphere for the visitor.
The Environmental Services Department helps ensure a healthy environment and economy by providing a variety of services in five separate areas – Agricultural Inspection, Household Hazardous Waste Collection, Solid Waste Management, Planning and Zoning and Water Quality Activities.
