It is also the home of the Nobles County Pheasants Forever Chapter #14. The local chapter has 40 years of experience in the acquisition and restoration of grassland habitats all open to public hunting. Since their inception in 1984, they have acquired 47 separate hunting parcels. Their work in land acquisition has gained them the honor of being named the National Habitat Chapter of the year 3 different times. This happened in 2010, 2014, and 2021.
